Multi-layer paper-led rollstock for projects that need added sealing or protection beyond a single paper web.
Use a multi-layer paper-led structure when one paper web cannot provide the required seal or protection. XLD reviews the layer sequence, coating or laminate route, print and roll specification before a sample is prepared.
The route is SKU-specific. XLD may print and convert the paper-based component while structure-specific lamination, coating or film work may be partner-produced.
Best fit: a paper surface plus added layers for sealing or protection. If one paper web can do the job, compare the simpler single-layer paper route first.
Applications needing a paper surface plus additional layers for sealing, protection or processing after the full build is defined. This defines contact, protection and pack-geometry needs.
Layer sequence, basis weight/thickness, adhesive or coating route, sealant and measurable protection target This defines the material and supplier route.
Machine, forming method, seal type, temperature/dwell/pressure, speed and current structure/sample These inputs define feeding, forming and seal requirements.
Print side, colours, repeat, eye mark, web width, core, diameter and winding direction. These inputs control registration, slitting and changeovers.
Provide the number of SKUs, quantity, destination, document needs and sample or trial stage so XLD can prepare a realistic quotation and validation plan.
Review delamination, cracking, feeding, registration, sealing and finished-pack behaviour against the approved structure.
Choose another route if: An unverified aluminum-content claim, generic high barrier, or automatic substitution for single-layer paper rollstock.
MOQ and timing depend on the confirmed material, structure, printing, roll dimensions, quantity, production route and current material availability. XLD does not publish a Specialty capacity figure or guaranteed lead time.
Barrier, seal, food-contact and environmental statements remain conditional until the offered structure and applicable evidence are confirmed.
